In these previous days, the farewell os WebOS has been became headlines on many digital news in the world. HP as the vendor had said goodbye to HP TouchPad to support WebOS. The bad news turned into good news when some creative people on TouchDroid touched the device.
TouchDroid team are making some great progress with Android for the failed HP Slate that recently has seen huge sales thanks to the $99 firesale price. As we knew, Android recently becomes the king of smartphone OS that supported by Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, HTC and many other vendors. And today, if you want to download and install Android OS into your HP TouchPad, you can do it. Even you not only taste Froyo, can install Gingerbread on your HP TouchPad. Can't you imagine that? So, what's the next step? As a couple of days ago, developers working on the TouchDroid project uploaded a comprehensive walkthrough detailing (Video) some of the many steps required to install Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread on the HP TouchPad.
