The mad scientists at Google have just announced version 6.0 of their maps app for Android and the killer feature is indoor navigation. Now you can have that same experience indoors with the latest update! Google's taking maps inside, offering up floor plans at some of the largest retailers and airports in the U.S. and Japan. Also, the UI's been reworked a little bit, with a quick-selection menu up top to bounce between Maps, Places, Navigattion, Check in, Latitude, Location History and My Places.
Grab Google Maps 6.0 APK and find your way around IKEA using this app on your Android phone. The application display details the store’s layout, from one floor to the next. Figure out how to get from home furnishings to Swedish meatballs, right from the palm of your hand.
What's new:
* Mall of America, IKEA, The Home Depot, select Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, Daimaru, Taskashimaya and Mitsukoshi locations and more.
* Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Narita International (NRT), among others.
* JR and Tokyu Corporation
"When you’re inside an airport, shopping mall or retail store, a common way to figure out where you are is to look for a freestanding map directory or ask an employee for help. Starting today, with the release of Google Maps 6.0 Indoors for Android, that directory is brought to the palm of your hands, helping you determine where you are, what floor you’re on, and where to go indoors."
